Across Europe, Pink maintains superstar status, but here at home, current disc "I'm Not Dead" has hardly tendered truth in advertising, as "Stupid Girls" stalled at No. 32 at mainstream top 40 and "Who Knows" was sadly overlooked. The third single, pop rocker "U + Ur Hand," has been bubbling amid playlists' lower reaches for a couple of months. Now LaFace/Zomba is gunning with renewed promotional gusto, hoping to convince reluctant programmers that Pink is punching up indisputable research wherever played. The song's greatest gift is a ribald lyric that delivers a big bird to a would-be suitor simply aiming to carve a notch in his bedpost. The title is obvious enough as Pink's ultimate kiss-off, consummated by lumbering guitars and assailing cadence.
